North Plains Main Street Stormwater and Sanitary Sewer Upgrade
Project #6181 Storm Sewer and Project #6281 Sanitary Sewer
This project is a partnership between Clean Water Services and the City of North Plains. Stormwater and sanitary sewer upgrades are being constructed along with street improvements. More than a half mile of sewer and stormwater lines are being constructed on Main Street from North Avenue to Pacific Street. As part of the storm system, a bioswale is being constructed to treat stormwater flowing into a tributary of McKay Creek. The sanitary sewer in Main Street is being replaced with a larger sewer to accommodate future city growth.
The street improvements are funded by a combination of city and grant funds, and Clean Water Services is funding the stormwater and sanitary sewer upgrades. Kerr Contractors is the general contractor for the project.
Design drawings of the improved street are posted on the City of North Plains website at www.northplains.org.
UPDATE - Project Complete
Project construction is now complete and the upsized system is ready to accommodate future growth potential for the city of North Plains.
