Project #6197
This project is located between SW 93rd Avenue and SW Ridgeway Drive, south of Canyon Road in the Raleigh Hills Area of Portland. The project shall upgrade more than one-half mile of sanitary sewer trunk line from 8-inch to 15-inch to improve line quality and improve potential capacity problems. The sewer line is currently located along SW Fairway Drive, SW 87th Avenue, SW 91st Avenue, and crosses sensitive, off-street wetland areas.
March 2008 Update
Extensive alternatives analysis has been completed to determine the final alignment scheme. All regulatory permits for work within right-of-ways and the sensitive wetlands areas have been secured. Construction techniques shall employ open trenching techniques as well as trenchless technology pipe-bursting. Plans and specifications are complete and the bidding process is underway. Construction is scheduled to start in early summer 2008 and be complete by fall.
A portion of the project is jurisdictionally controlled by the City of Beaverton and per the conditions of the Intergovernmental Agreement between the Clean Water Services and the City of Beaverton, a cost share agreement is being developed for that line portion.
