Project No. 6326
This storm drainage improvement project is located on Canyon Court and Canyon Lane, south of Canyon Road in the Sylvan area. Indications of storm drain inadequacies at locations on both Canyon Drive and Canyon Lane during peak weather events were verified by television inspections, which revealed substandard line conditions within line segments traversing several private properties. Because the problem areas on both streets are in close proximity to one another, they will be consolidated into one project. The inadequate line segments will be replaced by new line segments within the right-of-ways that are designed to divert and handle the flows.
The project field survey and design was initiated under the Clean Water Services’ (District) Small Works Program, but construction cost estimates indicated it would exceed the $50,000 limit for Small Works budgeting limits. The project became a storm water project designed and constructed under the Capital Improvements Program.
