The 107th Avenue Local Improvement Project (LID) will construct approximately 670 lineal feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer to provide sanitary service to eleven properties between NW Copeland Street and NW Cornell Road at NW 107th Avenue.
March 2008 Update
Construction is essentially complete with only minor landscape restoration and street resurfacing to be completed. The main portion of the system at the rear property lines was successfully constructed by trenchless technology (horizontal directional drilling) to minimize disruption to existing landscaping and subsequently the scope of restoration efforts. Final construction activities shall be completed in the Spring of 2008.
The new system has been inspected and tested for compliance with District standards and has been accepted into the District system. LID participants were notified of sewer availability on February 1, 2008. Many of the eleven participating properties have connected to the new service and received the early connection incentive offered by the District. Remaining properties shall have until February 1, 2009 to connect to the new system and qualify for the incentive.
Final actual project cost analysis is currently underway to determine individual assessments for construction. It is anticipated that participating LID property owners shall receive notification of pending final assessments by May 2008.
July 2007 Update
The LID was formed and authorized by the Clean Water Services Board of Directors. Design is complete. Methods used for construction will be trenchless technology (horizontal directional drilling - HDD) for the major portion of the rear property alignment to minimize residential landscape restoration efforts. The process of securing easements has begun. Anticipated construction to be underway by August or September, 2007.
