North Bethany Stormwater Implementation Plan - 6378
The purpose of the North Bethany Stormwater Implementation Plan is to develop a plan for regional stormwater facilities required for water quality, quantity and/or detention for the entire North Bethany Subarea. The Subarea comprises approximately 800 acres located north of Springville Road, east of 185th Avenue, south of Abbey Creek, and west of the Multnomah/Washington county line. The project will include developing proposed alternatives to accommodate phased development in the area and a cost-effectiveness model to evaluate alternatives. The Implementation Plan is expected to be completed by Spring 2012.

Public Meeting to be held on Tuesday, April 17th at 1:30. Please see the Agenda for more details.
April/May Update
A meeting was held on April 17 for Project stakeholders to discuss design concepts for regional water quality facilities (RWQF) in North Bethany. Two basic concepts have been developed – a conventional extended dry basin (round design) and a linear extended dry basin (cascading design). The concepts are intended to provide a flexible approach for developers. Staff presented preliminary costs and sizing estimates for the facilities taking into account the use of required or optional Low Impact Development Approaches (LIDA) upstream to reduce the required RWQF size. The consultant will follow the same steps to develop one example of a regional facility for each subarea in the basin. Slides from the meeting were sent to all Project contacts. A final stakeholder meeting will be held in late June to present preliminary design results for the entire North Bethany basin. Funding approaches will be identified after the completion of the preliminary designs.
