Canines for Clean Water
Raise your hand or paw to pledge to protect our Tualatin River Watershed and receive a FREE bandana!
Did you know that our local rivers and streams have fecal bacteria that exceed clean water standards? According to a DNA study (335KB, PDF), dog waste alone accounts for almost 15% in some local streams. What can you do to help keep our water safe and clean? Follow these easy steps:
- Pick up after your pet.
- Throw pet waste into a garbage can.
- Take the Canines for Clean Water pledge below and receive a FREE Canines for Clean Water dog bandana.

Canines for Clean Water Pledge
We, human and dog, pledge to keep our water clean by:
Staying on-leash and on trails in natural areas
Scooping and disposing of waste in a garbage can
Avoiding contact with streams and wildlife
Remaining within off-leash boundaries when off-leash
