Description: Yellow-flowered Iris grows to a height of .4-1.5 meters (1.3-5 ft) tall. Has stiff, sword-like leaves.
Where it grows: Grows along stream banks, lake or pond edges, or into marshlands.
How it spreads: Spread is likely from the break-up of rhizomes or from its abundantly produced seeds.
What it threatens: Can colonize in large numbers and form dense single-species stands, out competing native wetland plants and excluding native animals.
