Genus: Several species
Description: Dense branches with evergreen foliage on stiff, erect stems. Stems are bright green at first growth then age to a brown-yellow color. Grow to height of 2-10 meters (6-30 ft) or more.
Where it grows: Vigorous growth and spread is seen in moist, deep loamy soils.
How it spreads: Quickly spreads through underground rhizomes (stems).
What it threatens: Threat to the composition, structure or function of natural areas.
