Public Works: Moving life forward
Celebrate National Public Works Week with us, May 20-26, 2007. The celebration salutes the people who plan for, build and maintain some of our country's most valued infrastructure – roads, bridges and water and wastewater systems and treatment facilities. They make everything possible, from towns and cities to commerce and industry.
Join us at Washington Square this weekend, May 19-20 for the Public Works Fair. We'll have a family-friendly booth that includes information on safe grease disposal, how to do watershed-friendly gardening, River Rangers giveaways for the kids and the latest information on our future water supply plans. We'll celebrate along with Washington County’s Department of Land Use and Transportation, Tualatin Valley Water District, Joint Water Commission, ODOT, TriMet and PGE.

Harmonize in the hedges
A Hedges Creek education and musical fundraiser for The Wetlands Conservancy will be held on May 19, 3:00 to 8:00 pm at the Tualatin Commons in Tualatin.
