Clean Water Services' Rock Creek and Durham Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facilities offer free public tours
Hillsboro, OR — June 25, 2009 —
Clean Water Services will open its two advanced wastewater treatment facilities to the public for free tours in July. It’s a rare opportunity to visit the inner workings of these state-of-the-art, award-winning facilities that clean wastewater from homes and industry to nearly drinking water standards.
The in-depth one-hour tours will include a showing of Clean Water Services' award-winning video, Oregon's Tualatin River: A Watershed Restored, and light refreshments. Children over the age of 8 years old are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Space is limited at both facilities, so reservations should be made in advance by calling 503-547-8000.
Tours leave on the hour at 10 a.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Clean Water Services is a water resources management utility for more than 510,000 people in urban Washington County and small portions of Multnomah County, Clackamas County, Lake Oswego, and Portland.
