Sherwood Auto Repair is Oregon's 100th EcoBiz-Certified Business
Tualatin, OR — April 23, 2009 —
Join the plaque presentation and celebration on April 29, 2009 at 11:00 am at Sherwood Auto Repair at 9965 SW Tualatin Sherwood Road in Tualatin as they become the 100th Eco-Logical Business Program's certified business.
Speakers will include Oregon Department of Environmental Quality Director Dick Pedersen, Oregon Environmental Council Global Warming Program Director Sallie Schullinger-Krause and representatives from the Northwest Automotive Trade Association (NATA), Hawthorne Auto Clinic (first Eco-Logical certified shop) and Sherwood Auto Repair.
The Eco-Logical Business Program (www.ecobiz.org) recognizes businesses and shops that reach the highest standards in minimizing their environmental impact.

The goal of the Eco-Logical Business program is to prevent and minimize pollution generated by small businesses in the state of Oregon. Currently, there are two multi-media (air, water, and solid waste) certification programs: the automotive services program and the landscape services program. The Eco-Logical Business program and event are sponsored by NATA, the Pollution Prevention Resource Center and the Pollution Prevention Outreach Team that includes the Cities of Portland and Gresham, Clackamas County, Metro, Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, Clean Water Services, and Washington County.
