Clean Water Services Names Deputy General Manager & Department Directors

Hillsboro, OR — September 19, 2005 — Clean Water Services of Washington County has named Bob Cruz Deputy General Manager; hired Bruce Griswold as Business Operations Department Director/Chief Financial Officer; and promoted Nora Curtis to Conveyance Systems Department Director.


Bob Cruz is a registered professional engineer and formerly served as the Conveyance System Department Director. Cruz brings to the position over 30 years of public and private sector experience to this important position.

Bruce Griswold is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 25 years of experience in the business and finance area. Most recently Griswold served as Associate Superintendent for the Beaverton School District. Prior to that, he worked as the Finance Director for the City of Lake Oswego.

Nora Curtis is a registered professional engineer, formerly served as Engineering Division Manager, and has been with Clean Water Services since 1989. Curtis has more than 20 years of public and private sector experience.

Clean Water Services is water resource management utility for nearly 500,000 people in urban Washington County and small portions of Multnomah County, Clackamas County, Lake Oswego, and Portland. Clean Water Services operates four wastewater treatment facilities, constructs and maintains flood management and water quality projects, and manages flow in the Tualatin River to improve water quality and protect fish habitat. Although Clean Water Services maintains a close working relationship with Washington County government, it is a separately managed and financed public utility.
